Rockschool Grade 7 Distinction For Jordan
Jordan Parton started guitar lessons with me in 2009 in 2010 he did his debut exam and passed with Distinction. When he first came to me for lessons. He told me he wanted to play guitar because he had seen video’s of AC/DC. Since starting to learn guitar with me Jordan has taken all of his grades up to grade 7. He has always worked hard on his guitar and is always focused in his guitar lessons. He practises everyday for 30 minutes. The Future
The future is looking bright for Jordan. He now plays in a band called Inclosure and is really starting to get some live gigging experience under his belt. Some of the places he has played in include The Robin 2 Bilston, The O2 Academy Birmingham, The River Rooms Stourbridge, The Roadhouse Birmingham, The Rainbow Birmingham and The Institute Birmingham.
Not only does Jordan play in a band he also keeps himself busy by working as a guitar Tech based in Professional Music Technology in Birmingham. In this job he has had the pleasure of working on Bernie Marsden’s guitar from Whitesnake. He has worked here for 2 years. Jordan is also studying Music Technology, Music Performance and Music Events Management. However he has his heart set on being a be a touring guitar tech, at some point in his music career. He is also continuing to study with me too, so he can take his grade 8 Rockschool exam. So all in all Jordan is very busy man.
Exam Advice Form Jordan
Jordan’s tip for exam success is not to worry in the exam, and play as you do in a lesson. Also try to ignore everything around you and most of all be well prepared
